Underwriting Procedures, Engineering Guidelines
The main objective of Casualty Loss Control Engineering Services is to work with Casualty Underwriters and assist in enabling them to maintain and improve the profitability of the Casualty book of business by the clear identification, analysis, quantification and control of exposures. LCES involvement normally begins with a desk review or risk evaluation review of information provided in submission and/or other sources. Further LCES involvement develops from there, depending on mutual discussion and agreement between the underwriter and the Loss Control Engineer.
