ACE Asia Pacific’s  Marine operations specialises predominately in cargoes such as steel, paper, machinery, auto components, electrical equipment, pharmaceuticals, textiles, food and beverage, medical/scientific equipment as well as bulk commodities such as ore concentrates, fertilizers, mineral sands and vegetable oils.

Cover is also offered for Project Cargoes whether a normal marine cover or the more specialized Advanced Loss of Profits (ALOP).

Through the use of our local Marine Risk Manager and our International team ACE provides the following services for our clients:

• Local or International surveys covering Packing, vessel selection, modes of transport, storage, handling methods, stowage and securing of containerized and break bulk cargoes.

• Spot reviews and surveys covering specific issues being faced by a client when carrying out transport operations.

• Benchmarking of a clients total transport operation, whether general or bulk cargo, through the use of the Australia developed AAA Cargo Care Programme. This review focuses on each stage of the transport chain that the clients cargo passes through and provides recommendations aimed at raising the clients standards to Best Practise.

• Project Management of large infrastructure projects. This involves the transportation of critical and/or high value plant and machinery from all parts of the world through to often remote and transport challenged parts of Australia and South East Asia. Marine Risk Management of these projects requires a close working relationship between ACE and project management to ensure all identified items are properly risk managed throughout every stage of the Supplier to Site transport chain.
