Damien Sullivan
President and Chief Executive Officer, ACE Asia Pacific


Damien Sullivan was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of ACE Asia Pacific in July 2010. In his role, Mr. Sullivan is responsible for the management and development of the company’s property and casualty, accident and health and personal lines insurance operations in Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Macao, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Mr. Sullivan has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry which includes senior underwriting and management positions based in Asia Pacific and Europe. Prior to his current assignment, he had been Chief Executive Officer of the company’s Australia and New Zealand businesses since 2009, after serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Asia Pacific region in Singapore from 2005 to 2009. Before that, he led ACE’s Australia and New Zealand operations for three years.

Previously, he was President, Australia, and Senior Vice President, Marine with Liberty Mutual and Director and Regional Vice President for Somerset Asia Pacific. Mr. Sullivan spent 13 years with CIGNA International in marine underwriting management assignments with responsibility for the Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America regions. He began his career as Assistant Credit Underwriter with Export Finance & Insurance Corp. in Sydney in 1981.
